Have you ever wondered what it would be like to play a game you love and be who you truly are? What if that game is basketball?– lets say it’s GAY basketball.
There is so much talk about past and/or future professional and collegiate athletes coming out that little attention is paid to the amazing stories of amateur gay basketball players playing the game they love while being who they are, working on who they are, or who they hope to be.
There are LGBTQ+ basketball players around the world that feel like they are the only ones. We want you to know you are not. If you identify with the LGBTQ+ community then we want to hear from you. We want to help you join this community and thrive.
The National Gay Basketball Association (NGBA) was founded in 2002 to give the LGBTQ+ basketball community a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for players to be who they are and play the game they love.
We are looking for – I Am The Only One – stories to show our fellow LGBTQ+ identifying ballers, who are not able to join us, or are not ready to join us, how gay basketball, no matter how you identify, can help change your life.
