Lakewood, California] – The National Gay Basketball Association (NGBA) regrets to announce the departure of Spencer Ross from his role as Regional Director.
In a statement, Spencer Ross expressed his heartfelt decision, stating, “I will sadly have to set down” from the position of Regional Director at the NGBA. Unfortunately, due to increased personal and professional commitments, I won’t have the bandwidth to fully commit and carry my weight in this capacity.”
Spencer Ross has been an integral part of the NGBA, leading three teams that actively participate in NGBA events. His commitment to fostering inclusivity, sportsmanship, and camaraderie within the NGBA has been unwavering. Despite stepping down from his role as Regional Director, Spencer will continue to contribute to the NGBA’s mission as he remains an active participant, embodying the values of Strive, Thrive, and Change Lives.
The NGBA will initiate a search for a new Regional Director to fill the vacancy left by Spencer Ross. The organization remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and the love of basketball within the LGBTQ+ community.
