Becoming a player of the NGBA has been one of the most fulfilling decisions I have made. I've been able to strengthen my athletic game and make lifelong friends. Players accept me on and off the court, whether in my sneakers or high heel shoe.

I’ve played basketball my whole life but I’ve never had as much fun or been more comfortable playing the game that I love than at NGBA tournaments. The games are competitive but in the end, it’s clear how much everyone supports each other.

Finding the NGBA was like discovering an awesome treasure I didn’t know existed. I had not experienced playing competitive basketball in a completely safe space as an out member of the LGBTQ+ community before NGBA.
