We are thrilled to announce the opening of nominations for the National Gay Basketball Association’s Hall of Fame. This prestigious honor is dedicated to recognizing the outstanding achievements of individuals within the LGBT+ basketball community who have left an indelible mark on the sport.
The NGBA Hall of Fame seeks to celebrate the contributions of players, coaches, managers, and exceptional contributors who have dedicated themselves to the advancement of LGBT+ basketball. To be eligible for nomination, individuals must have been active members of the community for a minimum of seven years and in good standing for five.
Nominees should have demonstrated significant contributions to their leagues, the LGBT+ basketball community, and/or the NGBA, embodying our mission and vision with their actions both on and off the court.
We invite submissions for nominations from any person(s) familiar with the nominee and their contributions. Each nominee must have an advocate who will serve as their primary voice and be available to answer questions regarding the nominee.
The deadline for nominations is **July 15, 2024**.
The Hall of Fame Class of 2024 will be celebrated at the Gay Basketball National Championships in Kansas City, Missouri, on **October 10, 2024**. This promises to be a momentous occasion as we honor the legacy of those who have shaped our community and inspired future generations.
