Annual Meeting of the South Carolina Baptist Historical Society October 10, 2008 This year the Historical Society will hold it's annual meeting on Friday, October 10, at North Greenville University. The society will be continuing its recent emphasis on the state's Baptist colleges with papers, exhibits, and presentations related to the history of North Greenville. Preliminary meetings, campus tours and fellowship will begin at 11:00. There will be a buffet luncheon at noon(reservations required) with afternoon papers and presentations about the mountain academics and North Greenville's present, past and future as a South Carolina Baptist institution. Members will receive the usual notification, but nonmembers who wish to attend this particular meeting will be welcomed guests. Those wishing to make luncheon reservations may call 864-977-7063 or 864-801-2623 by October 6. those wishing to attend only the afternoon presentation are invited to join the group in the President's Dining Room in Todd Dining Hall at 1:00pm. "Reaching Children for Christ" Children matter to God and so should they matter to us.
Children today are different. How do we reach children who are so different from
us? We do it the way Jesus did. Jesus' message never changed, just the
presentation of the message. As an association we want to band together and
spread the news. Join us as we learn how to reach and teach the unchurched and
the churched - the way Jesus did.
"Pamper Me Pretty Luncheon" Renfrew Baptist Church is sponsoring a "Pamper Me Pretty Luncheon" on Saturday, October 25th from 10:30 am-2:00 pm Tickets are $10 or $5 for 60 years & over. Admittance fee includes: Lunch, pampering booths, door prizes, silent auction, balloon game w/prizes, singing, guest speakers & personal Testimonies. Reservations can be made by calling Renee McCarson at 834-7962 no later than October 15th. Come join us for a day of fellowship, relaxation and pampering. All proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Association to help find a cure!
